Boundary Employee Review
Hey Everyone,
Mikey here, long-time Boundary Employee. Obviously, I am biased as I work for this brand. However, I still wanted to give my review even though this is a preorder product. The Universal Bottle Pocket is an idea we have kicked around our office for a few years now and finally fully developed over the last ten months. After dozens of samples, I am excited to be writing about and using this product.
As a big hiker/outdoorsman, I have always struggled with accessing hydration on the go unless I wear a specific item like a running vest or a CamelBak. The biggest problem this product solves is accessing water bottles carried on the back of the pack. In many cases, I have had to remove at least one shoulder strap to swing the bag around to access a bottle. I also HATE carrying things in my pockets, like my phone or keys, when on the go. Having done several hikes with the new UBP, access to my water and phone has never been easier.
Yes, it really mounts to any bag. This is an excellent accessory for anyone looking to add volume and convenience; from multiple-day treks with backpack frames to the most lightweight travel packs, it just works. I also like that it adds more weight to the front, making me feel more balanced.
If I had to think of any negatives, it would be that depending on the bag, bottle, and how you wear this on a shoulder strap, your water bottles may ride high. Like almost hit you in the face high, although I did not ever experience this. Depending…
